The Haws® AX17 Freeze-Protected AXION® Shower and Eye Wash Upgrade Kit is a universal retrofit solution designed to upgrade existing self-draining freeze-protected emergency shower and eyewash systems with advanced AXION® MSR (Medically Superior Response) technology optimized for self-draining. Ideal for facilities looking to modernize aging, underperforming, or non-compliant equipment, the AX17 helps improve emergency flushing performance while supporting ANSI/ISEA Z358.1 compliance requirements.

The AXION® MSR eye/face wash features two dedicated eyewash streams and full-face coverage to effectively flush contaminants from the eyes and face. Unlike traditional eyewashes that direct contaminants toward the nasal cavity, the patented inverted-flow design helps move contaminants away from the nose, aligning with widely accepted emergency treatment protocols. Zero Vertical Velocity™ stream engineering delivers a gentle, stable flow for enhanced comfort and flushing effectiveness. The AXION® drench shower utilizes advanced hydrodynamic engineering to provide more uniform water distribution than conventional showerheads. By breaking water into smaller droplets, the shower delivers improved coverage, increased effectiveness, and greater user comfort during emergency use. The AX17 kit includes an AXION® MSR eye/face wash head, AXION® MSR drench showerhead, installation hardware, tape measure, eyewash measuring gauge, and installation guidelines to help verify compliance with ANSI/ISEA Z358.1 requirements.
